  • 1 kg potatoes firm variety
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Spicy coating

  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons onion flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper or pepper mix
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • chilli and herbs to taste


  • Wash and cut the potatoes vertically as wedges. Do not peel the potatoes.
  • Put the potatoes in a bag or bowl with the oil and mix well.
  • Spread the oiled potatoes on a baking sheet in an even layer.
  • Put the coating ingredients in a mortar and grind to fine dust.
  • Shake the coating mixture over the potatoes as evenly as possible. Turn the potatoes with your hands so that the seasoning is evenly distributed over the potatoes.
  • Bake the Spicy Potato Wedges in a 210C oven until crispy, about 35 minutes.
  • Serve them immediately.
