A red wine from a respected Port Wine Estate, using the familiar Touriga Nacional grape, as well as the distinctive local grapes of the Dão region.
The rather delicate bouquet has herbs, berries and rocks. After decanting, the nose opens up. The taste is light and medium-bodied. On the palate there is a leatheriness, plum and cranberry. The fruitiness, acidity and tannins are nicely balanced. Ripe berry and herbal notes linger on the palate in the fresh acidic finish. This wine works well with spicy fish dishes and lighter meat dishes.
