A wine from Rioja Alta – the region’s top shelf. Wine has been awarded a score of 91/100 by James Suckling.
Tempranillo’s intensity hovers on the nose. Roasted fruit, musk and fig. A hint of lingonberry can also be found.
Quite a full-bodied taste. The wine is youthfully delicious even though it is already 5 years old. The lively acidity lingers for a long time. The long finish has soft tannins and a warm kiss from Rioja.
Hacienda Valvarés Crianza is a fine modern Rioja. To accompany with lamb dishes.
