Like Eleivera from same wine estate, Pinteivera is made exclusively from Touriga Nacional grapes. The deep, dark-coloured wine has an elegant nose of smoke, dried fruit, strawberry jam and meatiness.
The complex and full-bodied palate offers smoke, dried fruit, ripe dark berries and earth. The tannins are fair but ripe. There is plenty of acidity too. Despite this, the mouthfeel is silky. The warm and rather long finish shows a slight roughness and spiciness. A quality wine to pair with meat dishes, especially steaks and also for hard cheeses.
