A carousel of red grapes: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.

Fermented in warm conditions. Avondale wants to preserve the fruitiness of the wine. Wild yeasts are the house style on Avondale.

Complex nose: ripe fruit, dark cherry, a touch of smoke and a touch of currant.

Quite full-bodied on the palate, but surprisingly dry despite its fruitiness. Crisp tannins. A very personal wine in the Avondale style.
