Bring 2 litres of water to a boil. Add a generous amount of salt. Cook the macaroni and drain.
Peel the onion and chop it as small as you can. Pour the cooking oil into the pan and add the onions. Put the pan on heat and stir fry the onions until the liquid is gone and they turn a nice golden colour. This is when the flavour intensifies and the onions also taken on a sweet side. This easily takes up to 10 minutes.
After that add the minced meat and fry it quickly until cooked through in a few minutes. Season generously. Mix the Minced Meat Macaroni in a pot.
Serve the Minced Meat Macaroni with ketchup.
Sunday special
This macaroni is true beauty. Skip the ketchup, and crumble blue cheese on top of the dish. Pour sweet thai chilli sauce over the top as well. It's absolutely delicious treat!
